Welcome to the Universe

Welcome to the Universe

A Poem by Emily

My neonate soul is imbued by you
Your colors and phenomena
My eyes are enraptured
The pit of my spirit is serene

My naked body
Cold and strong
Thrives on your energy
Blossoms, sparkles in your grace

My hands
Pale whispers against your skin
Open like white lilies on an unrippling pond
Fingers
Quivering like the new dawn's blush clouds

My imagined wings can soar across your body
Seeking all your hidden recesses
Knowing I can only find beauty

My mind coasts across the fabric of space
Inside I can steer my thoughts across the stars in your eyes
Failing to grasp their celestial might
But that is enough
To exist in your world is more than enough
I can spend lifetimes unraveling your quixotic viscera
The patterns upon patterns

Your world calls to me
You call to me
So I am home
