Blink and You're Dead

Blink and You're Dead

A Poem by Emily
"

A light-hearted poem about death.

"
Tick  tock
This world's a clock
Spinning and spinning around
Counting down the end of days
Yours and mine, I've found

It plays within the willows
And whispers through your pillow
"Your time has come, my dear."
I pray you're too young to hear
I hope you're too old to fear

As the dark descends
Maybe you ascend
But that all depends
Upon where your beliefs bend

I like the poem.
"I pray you're too young to hear
I hope you're too old to fear"
The lines above were my favorite. Death comes when it desires. No weakness in the excellent poetry.
