Dear ImaginationA Poem by Diala Abu Al HallawaA letter written in the time of depression
Dear imagination
Writing to you for the first time due to the desire of my persistent teacher to write a letter to my hero , well , I think you're my hero ! As I can see , the Amideast policy of choosing a hero to follow isn't working with me, how can a girl like me think of a perfect (Hero) right now? How can I write a thank you note for the heroic deeds of my hero while I feel that there's no actual change? I believe in order to feel the gratitude you must sense the change , either psychological change or a change in the real world , Unfortunately, I can't feel that at this point , all though I appreciate the enormous efforts of many people to change , However those wasted efforts are what making me so sad, therefore not able to write and express the gratitude and thankfulness , nor happiness , for they are sadly missing in my life these days . But as I illustrated through my words , it's just a phase ,A phase I get through by your help ,so thank you for you for being aound , for keeping me alive through communication , either by words , or whispers... Don't fly away , please be by my side at all times . Yours Truly Diala
