Beautiful, inside and outA Poem by dHarwin8184I wrote this to try and put into words the incredible feeling of the possibility of love at first sight. I truly believe it exists.
Her beauty consumed me. I couldn’t help but stare, longing for that moment when she would turn her head and our eyes might meet, even if only for a second. This was much more than a mere infatuation. Her presence resonated in the deepest depths of my soul. She owned me. I sat, watching her every move, mesmerized by every change in her facial expression. Was this love? I couldn’t look away. I imagined our life together and how passionate it would be. We would laugh until we had tears running down our cheeks, and I would gently wipe them away while staring through each other’s eyes, silently agreeing this was forever. I was certain she would appreciate all the stupid, little things I would do to try and make her smile. That was just who she was. Beautiful, inside and out.
