mad freedom

mad freedom

A Poem by Devyn

if the world would go mad,

well, what a world that would be,

you could sing out at random,

and dance through the sea.

now if this life made a turn,

went straight up the wall,

ended upside down,

what a beautiful fall.

goggles in the rain,

stop and spin in the drops,

splashing through puddles,

wave to the cops.

rules in the past,

who needs them now,

kindness is our religion,

no one asks how.

we need no explaining,

in this place of ours,

time doesn't exist,

no clocks that count hours.

if people were free,

themselves that would be,

no one would wear a mask,

why can't the world see?
