heading to the noose

a man being handed for being a pirate and his life after

a wait in line

with scruffy clothes

just like the other 3 men

fiddling with loose threads

on this puffy bloused shirt

calling me a pirate

when it's all just lies

making a living 

was 'aye

raiding the queen's ships

of which i was accused

my turn to step up

standing over the trap door

with a rope around my neck

look a little remorse

for it has all come to an end

in a gibbet is stay

for quite a while i must say

when the bars rust open

and the wax seal is broken

my body will be seen

with bones and decay

at last i'll be on my way
