Hiding behind that smile

Lies burrowed hope

Sepia                                           right on cue

 

Life was a blur till you passed by

                Slowly that grey began to fade

                                Colours of life popped in my eyes

                      You brought the smiles

                                When the pills couldn’t

You made me shine   without polish

           You brought the rain to my wilted flowers

                You dug up the hope                                      that had been buried

You wiped away the grey with a single smile

                           You brought me back to life

And now i am

            Seeing life with

The eyes of a child
