WHEREVER YOU ARE

 

The light in your eyes have faded, but they keep a watch

The laughter can’t be heard; but felt

Ever since the day you went to the land of poet’s pride

I have wondered for one sight

Now the years that have numbered two has gone by

And in the night sky, I see you waving by

The moon is in the backyard

The stars shine bright….and with each sparkle

They show you their delight

Your presence is bliss

You are in front of my eyes; always

It’s those shaking hands and sunny face I miss

 You look down to me from the stars

I look up to you and find you shining

Wherever you are………….
