Actively DormantA Poem by Davy JonesAs a seed grows..!The seed lay dormant Beneath the moist soil Being warmed by the sun Slowly, lovingly, slowly. Dormant to the world Inside was a secret Lots of activity abuzz In that little seed of love Millions of molecules Running errands, busily Like merry workers In Charlie's chocolate factory Eating, drinking, sleeping As the seed rested below While inside, these little Workers helped it grow Then one fine morning I looked at the pot And lo and behold! A green stem, two leaves I spot! Excited, elated, satisfaction dawns A thought fires through my neurons Undermine not a dormant seed For dormant is only that you and I don't see! © 2011 Davy JonesAuthor's Note
