The MagicianA Poem by Davy JonesWhen a charmer leaves forever, memories are all that remain!
Our eyes met and you sent
An arrow straight into my heart From that very moment I Was under your spell. You, my magician My heart’s sweet slayer, And its only physician. Sure it was magical If not somewhat tragical When you played with me Like you did with her and her Madness was your drink Your breath and your everything! What I loved the most What I feared the most You, my magician Haunting me forever, Firing along my ignition. We kissed under the mistletoe There were promises to be kept But you did your magic trick again Leaving me stunned, you left. You, my magician My own loyal betrayer, Wicked words for that transition. The magic has now ended The pied piper long left The spell has been lifted But I can get no rest. I sit in my wooden hut Sipping on hot java My eyes on the window Looking for prints on the snow Awaiting that familiar smell again That enchanting tune again. You, my magician My heart’s sweet slayer, And its only physician. © 2011 Davy JonesAuthor's Note
