A sweet friendship between two poets

Words are all around
Poetry, just words in motion.
If words be with you,
We're an easy connection.
If smiles be with you,
Come, we'll go for some confection!
Cakes we'll try, cookies we'll munch
Together till we find our favorite lunch
Pack it all we will
Picnic basket full of muffins
Uphill we'll walk
Huffing and puffing
Like tired steam engines.
On the cool green grass
We'll place our mat
Unfold our sheets and read poetry
Drama we'll do with all the drama
Under the cooling shade of a tree
And then we'll compete
Write it out, run it out, smile it out
Make jokes, we will
Laugh until our eyes spill
Until "with mirth old wrinkles'll come"
For you my friend, my friend
Are for life, for life!
