The Evil Night

The Evil Night

A Poem by Sage

There is a cold wind

A wind that chills to the bone

A wind filled with memories

Memories of the past

There is a puddle

A puddle as cold as ice

A puddle that holds the thoughts

Thoughts that haunt the soul

There is a storm

A storm that destroys lives

A storm that confuses the minds

Minds of the innocent people

There is a child

A child hiding in a corner

A child hiding from the screams

Screams of the demons in his head

There is a boy

A boy who tries to help

A boy who was corrupted

Corrupted by these demons

There is a blade

A blade made of metal

A blade that cuts this boy's skin

Skin that bleeds every night

There is a girl

A girl who can silence the demons

A girl who this boy loves

Loves in a way nobody else can

And then there is night

Night where all devils returns

Night where death is the only escape

An escape of the insanity

I like the poem. Loaded with mystery and fear. The strong description create visions trying to stay strong and having no change. Sometime peace in insanity. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
