Lucifer

Lucifer

A Poem by Sage

He wakes up one day

Disturbed by a banging on his door

As he moves to get up

He realizes that he's chained

Chained to a chair

Then comes another bang at his door

And someone yelling his name

As he struggles against the chains

The person is still banging on the door

After a minute he smells smoke

He looks to his left

Just to see that his house is on fire

Then another bang on the door

Then evil laughter to his right

He turns in shock to face this new being

He's looking at a hooded figure

And anther bang at the door

A sudden wind blows and knocks off the hood

And the man stares at himself

The now unhooded man announces that he is the devil

Come to steal the chained man's soul

Then more banging on the door

The smoke fills the room

As the devil snaps his fingers

They are moved to Hell itself

And there are no more chains

No more banging on the door

No more smoke

Only the devil and the man in an empty room

Lit by the fires of Hell beneath them

The devil walks over to the man

And says "I am you. You are the real demon here."

The walls fall away

And the man is left staring into the heart of Hell

With people hanging from chains and hooks

People being whipped

The massive blood pools

A never ending flame

And even angels losing their wings

And just as the devil places a cold hand on the man's shoulder

He wakes up

Back home

In his comfy bed

With his father banging on his door yelling for him to wake up

He's physically back in the real world

But his mind is trapped back in Hell

Watching the devil do his work

Trapped in a world of eternal torture
