A Poem by Jessica Elaine Stevens [Faiteach]

it has a young face and young eyes.
it does not like to be looked at.
it is pleasant to look at.
it is polite, but often restless.
it is stubborn.
it does not agree that it is stubborn.
it will not follow the directions on a prescription bottle-
then it will call poison control.
it is not suicidal, just stubborn. (but not stubborn)
it does not believe that the face in the mirror belongs to it.
they do not look anything alike.
it is not an alcoholic.
it will take the bus to the bar- alone.
it is a writer.
it is also a hack.
it will paint when it suits it to paint.
it hates everything that it paints.
it is not lazy.
it will only work when pressed.
it hates pressure.
it also hates people.
it also hates to be alone.
it prefers to sleep alone.
it hates buses, trains, planes and subway cars.
it refuses to buy a car.
it has been called adorable.
it agrees it is adorable.
it hates being adorable.
it dresses like a poodle, who wishes to be a rottweiler.
it is a writer because it has nothing to important to say.
it has a habit of noticing strange things.
it is something simple, wishing it was something complicated.
Maybe it is a little complicated.

I don't know about, it, but she, is simply, a terrific writer, and this was fantastic!

Methinks you are a little complicated. In all the right ways.

Thanks for sharing.

A excellent description. I like the set-up of the poem. We can make ourselves seem so far away and wishing to be close in the same moment. Poem is very good. Thank you.
