Blue, Blue Snake EyesA Poem by Jessica Elaine Stevens [Faiteach]Some of us are lucky, some of us are just smart.Callous vengeful lover, I believed once you could be sweet- you said such sugary things. Stubborn hateful player, your music is as rigid as you are. I cannot forget the notes on your strings- and I'm tired of writing about your wrong doings- please let me sleep. Instead, I'm playing a game of Russian Roulette with those Double Barrelled Guns of Fate. Daring Her to put you in my path- heart pounding in my feet to make a smaller target. I should be anywhere else than the places where I know our paths will cross- I should be everywhere else where I know our paths will not. And Lady Luck takes aim, its five o'clock and the work day is over I search the crowd for your face, I hear Her fire-
inexplicably She missed. such a lucky Fate is mine.
