AddictionA Poem by destinyleighI'll walk into your life like something so innocent, and sweet. You'll take a hit, and not know what swept you off your feet. I'll leave you there, dying for more. Calling out, on the bare floor. Just after a few little tries, You'll be making up so many lies. I'll leave you broke, and depressed. I'll take everything you own. For what is it you wouldn't give for an addiction so sweet. In your darkest hours, As you reach for your lighter. You realize there is no more hope, You no longer know how to cope. As you let that smoke burn, You let someone else have their turn. The addiction is awesome, you say. Try it you'll see. But if you do, you may never break free. Try me twice, I'll own your soul. You can't give it up. Even if you wanted to. You wouldn't survive, the withdrawals. © 2015 destinyleighReviews
