Reversible HurricaneA Poem by Decere TiozonOutside, the sun may shine. Inside, inside a storm wreaks havoc. Then, it switches. Emotions are complicated.Outside, the sun shines so brightly Inside, the storm is swirling so haughtily The feigning, overzealous smiles feel sore When the the clouds really need to pour An overcoat displays shallowness and levity In its pockets show depth and excruciating solemnity A persona that no one takes so seriously However, it’s shouting for a rescue--ever so thirstily It’s a balancing act, appearing in the light And hiding in the shadows, out of sight The poles would flip The reversible hurricane would drip To the other side of the world In a single word Outside, the tornado is spinning like a top Inside, the sun is desperately making a stop The rage of seismic waves feels too satisfying This anger and pain come out, pacifying Calming me from within, Draining all the sins It’s the way to heal this swollen heart The explosion of this volcano takes it all apart The titan grows in great height, Increasing in altitude, flying like a kite The poles would flip The reversible hurricane would drip Back to the calm persona Where the bottle will fill with emotions of a strange aroma And continue the neverending cycle No one to stop this, not even I © 2014 Decere Tiozon |
