Maternal

Maternal

A Poem by Christopher Todd Dallas

i introduced myself
to your mother yesterday
and then
i ate her

she was high on cholesterol
40% fat
less than 1% of the RDA requirements
and
took too long to cook

i left her clothing on
like aluminum foil
holding sauce
on a game hen
to keep in the flavor

she had served her family well
and her family was well served
by the chilly in the crockpot...

Diversity in your writing will do more for you than structure or meter.
I misspelled, "chilly." Meant to be, "chili."

Lol! Funny and kind of chilling all in one. Cannibals are kind of creepy to think about. There was a lot of humor in this which lends well to no punctuation and capitalization. This shows a lot of your versatility.
