SnippetsA Poem by gunagya sokal
( .I-I_I._I_*]. )
{.} snippets, like little rock-lings, half-buried, and bucked; crawl to the surface of earth; small pawed, behold, thy rulers, in great fashion - the kings and queens, of will-bury and alike; i dress in black, a magician's hat, a navy tuxedo, boxed square and ironed; and my shoes soled and hard-heeled; socks striped and torn within, and poor; clustered from paper sheets, my body - ladies and gentlemen! for everyday, and two and a half; and every quarter, i fly tickets; but snippets these appear, dare, not, must one turn an eye away; in sudden frenzy, - i clank my heels hard against ground; shuddering, neurotically, dancing blood-bathed; for, does the public bear witness? beat a man to death, agitated from his own existence; behold! the patrons in suspect; the government and agile, crying tongue-tied; and laced, blocked synapses; afloat tears - my dance of ritual; shedding shards of skin, crusted - flour and wheat; as these claws twirl, and around, my thin body, leg-up and tear my face scathe; bringing me down - i'm sinking to earth! and terracotta; has filled my nostrils; and eyes, mouth and ears. {-} drowned in oceans beneath; filled with water, through every porous, and the mountains have now, crumbled; and given way and the clouds gently falling; shooting to ground. prolific. © 2025 gunagya sokal |
