sleeping beauty

sleeping beauty

A Poem by aloneinthisbed

She held me close.

I couldn’t help but to stare in wonder.

Her skin almost glows.

As the rays from the moon spiral out of control on her face.

Almost as if each ray of light was dancing perfectly on the sweet skin of my darling.

A smile curves on my face.

She isn’t staring.

Yet she is looking into my eyes.

With the stillness of the night.

We sleep in a daze of what seems like forever.

My sleeping beauty.

Sleeps forever.

My sleeping beauty.

Doesn’t awake.

 unless I say.

I of all people get to mask in the scent of this beauty.

Her scent, breath taking.

My sleeping beauty sound asleep.

The touch of her soft pale skin.

Takes me a faraway place.

My beauty's eyes.

Are as blue as the sea its self.

take a quick glance at my sleeping beauty.

Take it.

 Leave it.

Hold the image in your head.

Keep it.

Hidden with in the minds of the people.

i like this poem also, you write very gracefully and it's a pleasure. i did assume it was about a girl though but only because it says her and she
