Roses are Red...A Poem by Derek NallI see purpleRoses are red Violets are blue? Last time I looked they looked a little purple Maybe that’s why we don’t understand love Because even in the most cliche poem about expressing our love we are color blind. Roses are red Violets are violet My heart beats for you and it wont stay quiet…its violent And my roses bled for you As my violets bled a shade of blue Roses are red Chaos they can bloom They lay upon graves of unruly tombs And my heart is a riot Crashing the party between the crimson and violet But they never hear the break…our heart breaks so silent…to them But roses are still red And violets are blue? I may not understand this... This perception askew But I think violets are purple, and they just bleed the blues.
