How Now, Brown Cow

How Now, Brown Cow

A Poem by Denise
"

My boyfriend just got me a pillow pet as a sweet gesture because really I'm just a kid at heart. BTW the pillow pet was a brown cow that I named "How Now"

"
How now, brown cow
Said the owl sitting upon the highest bough.

What a beautiful day it tis
Beautiful day for eating hay that is.

Well shucks, yellow duck
Said the cow standing in the muck.

What a lovely afternoon it tis
Lovely afternoon for singing a tune that is

Well of course, black horse
Said the duck squatting by the truck.

What a wonderful evening it tis
Wonderful evening for prancing and preening that is.

Dance a jig, pink pig
Said the horse standing so tall, so big.

What a nice night it tis
Nice night for eating everything in sight that is.

I would say Dr. Suess on Paxil.
A fun poem straightforward, yet creative. Good work. I think it would be a fine Kid's poem.

There is such a freedom and joy in the fun of this scene. It just brings that smile from deep down. Enjoyed very much!
