Nature's Serenade

Nature's Serenade

A Poem by Denise
"

My love for nature is so deep that it just makes sense to write a poem that includes emotional senses I feel when I'm away from civilization.

"
Haunting, piercing cry
Ringing, reverberating through the sky

Clear and breathtaking night
The stars unaltered light

Twigs snap, the forest creaks
Through nature the spirit speaks

Creatures sing their evening song
Praising the world in which they belong

This reminds me of an evening I stayed on Pine Creek a little longer than I should have..flyfishing. The pale evening dun hatch was on, right at dusk, and I fished untill I could not see...

"Creatures sing their evening song
Praising the world in which they belong"

The Whip or Will's were singing their evening songs..on the canyon sides,
Their cousin the night hawk dipping, turning, catching mayflies.
And I was praising the world in which I belonged.
Thanks for the memory.

I'm still quite new to the writing world other than the fact I enjoyed and excelled at English through my years of school and college. I mostly just write poetry because of my scattered mind and deep .. more..
