The town was nothing special- Just a riverside village, grown in size over the ages. If you'd look closely, you'd find where the village starts acting like a town. The city council has managed to get all the roads paved with stone. But still there are trees in the streets, which leave blissful shade in the hot summer days. There are even steel nets hung over some of them, which are overgrown with vines, which leaves the whole street shaded.

The town's population is consisted of humans, dwarfs, centaurs, fairies and halflings. Every race works, using their differences as an advantage.

-Fairies gather herbs, water the plants, and are fast and reliable couriers.

-Halflings keep the city clean and enforce the law.

-Centaurs look after the fields and the livestock. They also help in transporting heavy loads, like the minerals from the nearby mine.

-Dwarfs work in the mine in question.

-Humans are living as innkeepers, magicians, poets, musicians, fishermen, stonemasons etc.

That doesn't mean, however, that that is the only thing a certain race does. There are a few of each race, that are not willing to be held back by their differences, and are working in different areas. For example- the accountant of this town is a dwarf. The governor is Human, but his assistants consist of fairies and halflings. The only race, which sticks to it's area of expertise is the centaurs. They stick with nature.
