One sunny Sunday I sat by the sea sand, And thought of the cruelty of a city by the citadel; Of a widow whose woes brought tears into my eyes The husband was shot by a short man in my sight
She was dragged out to be tortured without might What a distasteful sight on my side She was beaten with stones and hoes She wailed and cried in her woes
I shivered in my bones When I saw her eyes been gorged out with an animal bone What has this woman done to deserve this pain? I asked myself in pain The heart of man is indeed wicked and cruel!! © 2014 demvester4deworldFeatured Review
