Seems a bit strained compared to your other poems, but I see how you attempt to portray your concept. Or, on second glance, I see that you ease up a bit near the ending of each stanza. Speaking of hungry animals, whose to say we are literally but cannibals feasting on each other's conscience, not to mention those who slurp blood out hollow beings?
This reminds me a bit of the beat poetry of the 50s and 60s where there was all kinds of experimenting going on with poetry...a lot of those guys were writing strictly to be read as opposed to spoken...anyways what I'm trying to say is that this is a cool and unique piece :)
For all the terrible things I see humans do, I see an equal amount of great things that go under the radar. Just because we don't see it in the news doesn't mean that good things don't happen...it just means we are more interested in the things that go wrong than the things that go right.
Regardless, I enjoyed your take on the trending lack of humanity

This was written purely about those who don't appreciate the people in their lives until they are gone, falling into a cycle of hypocrisy.
