Havoc

Havoc

A Poem by demureminds

Tear apart the skin that holds

my entirety

together,

and watch me ink

slowly

to the floor,

the infrared claret

liberated from the coldness

I am made of,

ribboning through your fingertips,

blindingly mad

for hemoglobin warmth,

the icy fringes of

hailstone sleet

creeping, anticipating

for a quake to shake

me off balance,

the stasis,

blowing me away,

cold,

until I am nothing

but dried burgundy

havoc,

numbness

washing me away.

I love the way you speak of hurricanes in a calming matter; matter of fact I always seem to calm down after reading some of your poems.
