Free Fall

Free Fall

A Poem by demureminds

Howling at the pitch of night,

my eyes,

empty,

if only lucid tears

fleeing from my

mangled mind,

escape from the strain

of virus

that tempts me

to the edge,

free fall,

fall

       fall

             fall,

just jump

but

I wail,

for a staircase instead.

It spirals in circles,

escalator treads,

leading to a trail,

I’ve come to dread,

and soon,

I’ll coax for a cliff,

escalating,

        up

    up

up

’til

  f

               r

      e

                    e

     f

               a

         l

                      l.

haha sorry
Thanks!
I adore the structure of this poem~ Suicide by heights intrigues me, after all, heights is one of the main fears of being human. How would it feel while falling down, knowing you conquered a worldwide phobia?
