Run

Run

A Poem by demureminds

Bars lay siege about the room,

a cubicle,

jail cell,

but I’m not a criminal.

Soaking me in guilt,

macerate me with your worries

about life issues,

finances and bullshit,

like it even matters

you’re just a hypocrite

spending tender like I

sell my wanderlust

because you built

these walls around me

and I’m supposed to call this

home?

Complaints like avalanches

atop

cascading down,

the rocks hitting me,

all because you

kicked that pebble

and I don’t give a single

f**k,

so all I do is run.

Your welcome..x
Sounds alike to an argument between two wed writers. I couldn't help but laugh with glee while dwelling in that thought, you've made my day, Melinda. Well done~
