I was the wildflowers dancing with the cool breeze, whiffing past each night, eyes finally closing. I was auroral streams flowing with kin bodies, the graceful matter, swift of sand wafting back in direction of flowing waters. I was the trees that sang with the evening wind chimes, clinging xylophones tinkerings. I was the smile hitting both cheeks, crooked teeth showing with glee. But now, I am the winter frost, chills pricking your skin, thick apparel to keep me out. I am the wilting sidewalk weeds that never leave for long, eating through your crops and crawling on your walls. I am the dessert sand, caked with hills of hot dust, useless and unmoving towards the oasis shade. I am the concrete pavement, evolution embalming natural essence, no space for blithe vibes, grey melancholy with a stench of the sewage drain. I am the frown creasing for wrinkles on your already ashen skin, teeth too ashamed to unveil. But I was and I am still me you said. © 2012 demuremindsReviews
