Emancipated

Emancipated

A Poem by demureminds

Emancipated limbs

flee from burdened,

battered thoughts of mine

and corruption grovels through the depths

of my nerves,

wracking for requisition,

against unwilling decrees.

Liberation beams slightly

in an outlier boundary,

echoing of paradise and ecstasy,

though

an incubus,

tugs at me each time,

lathering me back into

wretched schemes of misery.

Shriveled up,

just enough,

inclined for detonation and valor,

cutting all ties,

and releasing ladened anchors

for good.

I was, and thanks!
Anchors that repeatedly pull you back downwards until you end all ties with them? Amazing concept, and I myself agree with Antonio below.

My pleasure :)
i'm convinced you were a great poet in another life.. you write with such depth and understanding it is absolutely amazing how complex your writing is..

you need to change your name from demure.. to divine..

your penning is a true delight

:)
