Mighty Calvary

Mighty Calvary

A Poem by demureminds

Allegedly,

you know it all,

false accusations

strip for your eyes

alone,

and no,

tease doesn’t do it for you.

You’re the sight in a sea

of carnal blindness,

the ringleader

of a lion’s den,

the sympathetic psychiatrist

in her primped up office,

pretending to care,

but you haven’t even a clue

of what I’m going through.

Your face is armored like steel

and your words spit cannonballs,

bullets uproar

in war,

but I can see

you’re just a fraud.

Impersonating the monarchy,

you do it so well

secretly,

mischievously,

a manipulative shrewd

you are,

but I know what it takes

to crumble your walls,

your mighty calvary,

and I know what it it takes

for you to fall.

I found the organization of the piece very pleasing.
The forceful use of words is awesome.
I love specially the following stanza :
"Impersonating the monarchy,

you do it so well

secretly,

mischievously,

a manipulative shrewd

you are,

but I know what it takes

to crumble your walls,

your mighty calvary,

and I know what it it takes

for you to fall."
