Silhouette Photos

Silhouette Photos

A Poem by demureminds

Prying them out of pictures,

from memories made

so many days

ago.

Let them develop

too much

under the sunlit rays,

though the image

still navigates.

Leave them compacted

beneath

crumpled  paper receipts

in an old abhorred

drawer.

Slip them into

old shoe

boxes,

with those aged notes

they wrote

in grade school.

Pry them out of pictures,

and shatter their frames,

trying to hide them from

futuristic days

still their presence remains

painted on pupils

if only just

a silhouette.

Oh wow! the imagery in this was amazing. We try to hold onto our precious memories. Keeping them tucked away safely. Though pictures fade with time, or become worn from looking at them too often. Still we have our memories, even if only we see a silhouette. Wonderful ^_~

Thank you! You got the purpose right on!
Fantastic and (as I saw it) slightly morose way of looking at photos. How our past is lurking under our desks and in our shoeboxes . . . Hehe . . .
