Coax

Coax

A Poem by demureminds

Consuming

pains

of yesterday,

their intricate

lines

of lies,

worked their way

through me,

absorbing,

influencing.

Purging,

I coax myself out

onto battered parchment,

unbelieving

the sloppy

overflow

I couldn’t

keep down

tonight.

Tomorrow,

I’ll wake,

and hopes up on

a pedestal,

it’ll all

be fine

again,

my mind

sleeping

with ease,

even though

I never said

a thing.
