Candid

Candid

A Poem by demureminds

Filling the room up

with empty words,

damaged promises,

spearing through

tense air,

you were always great

at that.

Speaking loudly,

profoundly,

to cover up your

false parades,

your candid lies,

yes,

you were

quite brilliant.

But being absolute,

pure,

bona fide,

why could you

not be that?

Hm, good depiction of somebody that you may know. I loved how you started it, that was clever.
