His Sweet Decadence

His Sweet Decadence

A Poem by demureminds

His smile was so decadent,

so sweet

as it curved up.

His hair glistened

like brown sugar

should it be struck

by sunlight.

He had eyes

resembling the world;

the blue tides

in the midst of turmoil,

and the greens were soft,

tickling,

like the grass of Mother Earth.

His face,

it began

reminding me

of fresh springs

and rapid waterfalls,

for he fell so willingly,

and abruptly

for

her,

instead

of me.

Oh this is simply divine. Such a great piece of poetry you have written here, Your words are so descriptive- and the ending, well, I guess I can say only one thing- "haven't we all been there"?

Ahh I love this. Such talent, and I was surprised there at the end. A good poem like this makes me want to keep reading the rest of your work :)

Thanks, and you're welcome to! haha
Really good work.

Evocative description of attraction and the twist surprised me.

You're a talented writer, Melinda.

So it's his loss.
