That Girl

That Girl

A Poem by demureminds

Why can’t I be that girl,

strong willed,

shallow thoughts,

in a corner

laughing wildly

with a coterie

of outlandish comrades,

singing

tepid melodies

and prancing at the promenade?

Why can’t I be that girl.

A great poem. Im sure we all wish we were somebody else. You have to appreciate who you are and be who you are. Great job!

Because she's a dancing monkey and you're an intellectual observer.

Great word-choices in this one.

Thank you for that observation haha
You are more than that girl. LOL.... I love the poem, it has the simple diction and free from ambiguities. A lovely poem
