~1~A Chapter by LazyxBumthis is basically how it started, in Haily's view.Haily
So, Tyler's been telling you how my nightmare began? Just like him, always been the blabbermouth. I guess I can't blame him though. It's quite the interesting tale, especially when you aren't involved in it, I'd bet. Whatever.
Enough of this though. I'm stuck here, so I should just go ahead and say how this little event really started. It was a year later, after we met Mr. and Mrs. Robinson. Oh, yeah, didn't Ty-Ty tell you? That's their name, but of course he would forget to tell anyone that. His memories are so bad, he's lucky he hasn't forgotten his own address.
Alright, back to the story. It was yet another sweltering hot day at home. I was out in a pair of shorts and a pink tanktop, matched with my favorite pink sandals. I even got mommy to put my hair in pigtals on my head, to look cute of course. I was out to wait for Ty-Ty at the moment. We were going to do our weekly visit to the park. It's been a tradition for us since I was four, which seemed forever to me then. I wanted to go ahead and meet him there, but I wasn't allowed to go anywhere by mysdelf and mommy was having her 'resting day'. So I was basically stuck at home until he came back.
I looked for any since of him two, three times before I laid down on the grass. I looked over at our neighbor's house, with its 'SOLD' sign out. It seemed so weird to me, how only after a year the Robinsons were already leaving. They weren't even going to stay for my seventh birthday! I thought they my good friends. Not that I didn't have good friends, it still hurt me though not to see them stay for my birthday. What's weirder was that the last time I saw them, they had this weird look. Kind of like they were sorry for me. It was only for a second though, then they went to play games with me. Still, that look bothered me. Why would they feel sorry? After a while, I finally put it to the back of my mind.
Soon, thinking of all that, I started to drift away into a deep sleep. At least, until I heard a car go by. I immediately woke up to see it was only my friend Cristina's daddy driving by. I smiled and waved to him, but I felt disappointed that there was still no sign of Ty-Ty.
Long after Cristina's daddy left, I sat back down on the cool grass and put all of my weight on my hands. I started to look up at the sky in hopes of time passing more quickly. No avail on that though. I looked again at the street to see a sleek black car with windows you couldn't see into pull up in front of our yard. It looked alot like Mr.Robinson's car, but I swear it was the neatest car ever.
Soon, a man came out of the car and walked towards me. He seemed handsome, in his late-twenties, with an air of ruggedness around him. He wore a dark green tee-shirt with a pair of dark jeans. I thought it was so hot, he should've been melting. But he was solid. I realized this when I was suddenly scooped up and brought into the car.
In the car, it was cool. Around the man was this burnt pine scent, which made me think of a christmas tree on fire. The thought made me giggle, though it seemed to tense everyone more in the car. The woman behind the wheel had this weird cold look to her, frozen to the wheel and on the road. The man put his face in my long, onyx hair, and gave me kisses on the cheek like daddy does. Yet, he wasn't my Daddy. He started to scare me, made me want to just crawl away. I couldn't though. I was trapped in the car, going who knows where.
At that very moment, all I could think was, 'Where's Ty-ty when I need him?' © 2010 LazyxBumAuthor's Note
