What you are to me

Written in the few minutes while I still have time in class

I wish I'd said this earlier.  It might be too late, you might not need this, but I need this.  I need you to know this while I still have time to tell you, while I still have time to tell the world, anyone who'll listen and read.  This is not a poem.  This is not a book, this is not fiction.  This is real life, this is my heart put on a computer screen.  So, here's my note to you, made public.  Please don't kill me!

 

Kristina,

I thought I should tell you just how much I love you, and I would love to be able to do that, but there's not enough time in the world, and no words to express it.  You are my world, my life.  I have broken hearts and had mine broken, but I trust you to keep it safe, and if you'll let me, I'll keep yours safe, I will guard it with everything I am.  You are my everything.  I go to sleep every night thanking God (Yes, the very entity I have said I don't believe exists.  But with you on the face of the earth, I think he might after all).  I thank him for putting you on this earth, a light in the darkness, every perfection rolled into one perfect form.  I love you with everything I am.  Maybe I am obsessed, it's a very good possibility, but I can finally breathe because of you.  So... in short... thank you for being mine.
