Amazing Grace,
That grace that took my sin away.
That grace that saw me for me
Sent from heaven just to love
No one could bring a more perfect gift from above.
So many tried to save us;
So many wanted to be our Savior.
Well only one could play that part
Because His words came from the heart.
He didn’t say, “serve Me and I’ll make you known.”
He said, “I’ll serve and show you how it’d done.”
Who else can take this one man’s place?
He made himself nothing so no one can say;
Oh, he’s not worthy to be our King.
He’s only interested in what to Him we can bring.
He brought to us the greatest gift
No man on earth could ever present
The gift of life, that what he gave
I shall not forget, my life he saved.
Lord, I love you!
No one else is more worthy
O magnify the Lord, and let’s exalt His name.
He who trusts in the Lord will not be put to shame.
He is yesterday, today and forevermore the same
May He, His Word, and His Will, forever reign.
Take refuge because he is a shield
His word is yes and amen, on that you can build.
He’s the ancient of old
He’s more precious than Gold.
His beauty everyday unfolds.
He has made my bitter waters sweet
Oh taste, and you too shall see.
I was lost, but the Lord truly saw me
He gave me wholeness and healing.
Don’t let what you’ve done, keep you from moving ahead.
God’s too good for you to just stay where you’re at.
As I look back, I know that I should be dead.
There were so many times, but instead
He gave me what I needed.
I was independent and got into things
I was naïve and believed most anything
He was there, making me dependent
Turning the wheel, making me a student.
Making sure the right people were around me
Planting seeds deep in my hard ground
When I was in wrong places,
He’d showed me familiar faces
He was there convicting me
His grace is my strength
When I don’t have enough
I know, I’m nothing without him,
For My master is tough.
He is Jehovah Jireh!
He’s my Amazing Grace.
