Falling Leaves

Falling Leaves

A Poem by Schuyler Ford
"

This is a poem I wrote about a guy while there was a thunderstorm going on.

"
Each crash of thunder
is like a beat of my chest

Each strike of lightning
is like a tear on my cheek

Each rain drop
is like my feelings
pouring out of my soul

Each falling leaf I catch
is a happy day with you

The thunder scares me
The lightning scares me
The rain scares me

The leaves are the
only thing keeping
me with you.

Ignore the fact that none of it rhymes, it's not supposed to. What do you think?
