To: the Liars of Truth

To: the Liars of Truth

A Poem by Kyle A. Smith

To: The Liars of Truth

And all the things I said I'm not sorry for…
I think I lied.
Maybe I would take back the things I said.
The things I did.
My state of mind was not right.
Not reserved.
My life is a lie.
Or so I think.
Full of contradictions,
Full of metaphors,
And wasted thoughts.
If I could take it all back.
What would I replace it with?
An infinite choice.
How could I know the outcome?
Who am I to write this?
I have no place in this world.
And this is only a contradiction anyways.
If you understand.
This writing wrote itself; time ago.
I was merely the catalyst.
And here was the reaction.
Representing time as old as sand.
I wouldn't trade my life for the world.
To all those things I said I'm not sorry for…
I think I told the truth.
Only to make you think.
A contradictions. Two ways of thinking.
Do you understand?

Wise words. Wiser than either of us think :-)
Nice.........x

I love how the person in the poem is almost trying to find out the truth, is trying to convince himself.

You used a lot of nice words-in my opinion. (I love words :P)

And even though he thinks his life is a lie, he wouldn't trade it for the world is what I liked the most.

Thank you for writing this piece of art.

Understanding is a hard thing and I believe that most people are led to believe that they can understand. The fact is, true understanding is a step above a rarity. I felt I saw a lot of my own thoughts in this piece, which is always fun for me to read.

Very nice work.
