Dream Harvest

Dream Harvest

A Poem by Kyle A. Smith

Dream Harvest

We are the sleepers, the dreamers, the few

Harvesting your thoughts before the first dew

We come out at night, so we can prey

This needs to be quick, for the rising day

Our ranks increase ever hour, (just a follower)

We need this to live, you can be the caller

Treat this the same, only if you are dead

“Give us this day, our daily bread”

Just the words of the dreadful that despise

Somehow, only the media knows his ties

The mighty, the holy and the powerful

Sharpening their weapons that seam so dull

Maybe they moved on, found something greater

But still in my mind, I can only find one way to save her

Great first line; where can I get a first line like that? The metaphor of harvest is top shelf; where can I get a metaphor like that?

The only thing that i truly know that drives me is my music, the rest is just all jumbled together with everything, and it all seems to be connected. What I get out of that, is trials, dreams, love, a.. more..
