Alone

Alone

A Poem by dementedreality

Reaching out of the darkness to find hands, but they are falling, falling.
You pull them up and push them out of the dark, falling further in, falling.
Another hand and you pull and push, the darkness becomes your home, falling.

Breathing in you feel the darkness fill your lungs, you carry it within you, fallen.
You swim about the dark, ferrying drowning souls to the surface, fallen.
Dreaming of the surface, you ask those you ferry of the comings and goings, fallen.

The little light you carry within you slowly fades into the darkness, fading.
Sometimes you long for the light, but you focus on bringing up the drowning, fading.
Darkness holding you in it's embace you come to find peace in it's hold, fading.

Faded.
Faded.
Faded.
