Black and White

Black and White

A Poem by dementedreality

When you read between the lines and see what's left unsaid, you lose your ability to speak.
Ere the people will riot, what a mockery you see for you are blind to what's before your eyes.
So you see between the lines and hold a vow a silence to avoid the doubting gaze.
Black blood coursing below the skin, tainted and blackened from a past of pain.

Sometimes you speak your mind with fancy words written black on white.
Sometimes they see your words as casting them to be black when they see white.
You understand they are more then they think themselves to be, but blackened by things held tight.
You hope they can let go of the past and see the vast potential they hold within.

Alas it is their choice to make, will they read between the lines?
