Burning

Burning

A Poem by dementedreality
"

I wish I had more to offer you than broken words coming from a broken heart.

"
For some reason I can't explain I'm drawn to you like a moth to a flame.
My words reach your eyes much to my surprise.
Still I wonder whether I have anything to give.
All I hope is a life of happiness for you to live.
Maybe one day they'll look back and wonder about it all.
Just what is it that caused her to fall.
Down into the depths of depressive isolation, burning oneself alive in self-immolation.

Wow very deep, this is so very good, emotional but good

Burning oneself as a way of suicide/sacrifice, is by itself very disturbing. Being drawn to someone like that will just cause the moth to die. But you die by the attraction, oblivious to the heat and pain
