Undiagnosed

A Poem by dementedreality

Untouched by malignant descriptors given at gunpoint to a trembling soul. Cry now this simple soul, I've drawn you apart from those around you. Isolated your behaviors to free society of the burden that is you. Feel my cold entrapping words grasping your being as you fall into despair. You are no longer human. A broken clock with it's gears out of alignment. You don't tick the same as I do. I'm free of your warped gears of maladaptive traits. My addictions are functional and serve society. I am esteemed, as I am an well oiled gear that keeps the clock of society ticking. My humanity is already lost. Drowned under a cacophony of buzzing and whirring gears all working to put down the broken gears. Misfits for this clock ticking down to our destruction.

You, come be diagnosed. We'll shave away your humanity so you can fit right into our broken system. Free yourself of a need to think and follow us on our march towards destruction. Take our medicine as we treat our woes, numbed to the pain we still carry with us. A trauma left to fester under the skin. Come experience our blissful ignorance as we carry on our functional addictions.

You poor soul, what have you been through? Come rest beneath my supple branches. Partake of my fruit as you rest you weary soul. Listen to my words of hope and joy, of love and care. Free yourself from the machinations of a broken system. See the light I bear before you. You too bear this light inside. Tucked away in the darkness, hidden by the pain. Freely let it shine as I have. I see you for who you are, a being of infinite potential. See yourself this way too and share the message love and hope. Free yourself and allow others to free themselves too. Through your message of hope and love.
