Alone In My Head

Alone In My Head

A Poem by Aidan Cooney
"

Just written at a coffee shop

"

Trapped inside of my head,

the mouth has nothing to say,

stuck with constant thoughts of you,

and what you are doing today.

With no taunting words from me,

you awake with someone else instead,

you get through each day so easily,

every moment in my head.

I don't think you ever did need me,

despite the fact that you say you do.

You just had to have someone to grasp,

every time your god fell through.

Feeding off each others negative emotion,

turning it around to find reasons to stay,

to feel so good, loved, and different,

This 'love' of ours formed of clay.

Thus, we continued to lie and pretend,

until the day we had to both give in.

Now stuck alone, but with you in my head,

Sadly reliving all of my Sin.

Aidan Cooney
"She's a thought that I have to believe in, all I need to make it real, is one more reason. I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do, when she makes me, sad. But I won't let this build up inside of me" -Slipknot

That's pretty slick, bro.

I'm glad you're again starting to feel through words and rhythm.

My favorite stanza:

" I don't think you ever did need me,

despite the fact that you say you do.

You just had to have someone to grasp,

every time your god fell through. "
