Fifteen Years With You

Fifteen Years With You

A Poem by Aidan Cooney

I crave you.

You kill me.

I need you,

to let me be.

You take my money,

You cause me pain,

I go back to you,

Again and again.

I love your taste,

no matter how bad,

I come back to you,

When I get sad.

You take me back,

without any concern.

I hate you so much,

I don't want to return.

You take my breath away,

you make me depressed,

but you're great to have around,

whenever I'm stressed.

I crush you and your friends,

and throw you against walls,

I scream at the top of my lungs,

that Im done with you all.

The screams don't come,

just choking on air,

you never pay attention,

to those sounds of despair.

I tongue your butt,

and squeeze your shaft,

Yeah, smoking's about as gay as that,

I need to quit.

I need to breath.

I need to do more than just believe.

I love that the first two-thirds of the poem could be about a love gone wrong, but the end pulls you into the twist. It was clever and original. Great job. :)
