By not paying their workers a living wage many corporations are welfare recipients because their employees have to rely on food stamps and government housing to survive. Coincidence? No, it isn't. It's the new America. The rich get richer and the rest of us can order from the dollar menu with our EBT card.

Just a few of the reasons I won't eat junk food! - and on another note, you are absolutely right - these workers should earn more. It should be a crime for the CEO's of these companies to earn so much and the workers attempt to live on minimum wage.

You have a genuine grievance in America, that's for sure. I don't think it's as bad in Australia, quite the opposite in some cases. $15 an hour isn't a lot. Most people here get at least $20, and some double that and more. Workers at GM were being paid $1197 a week - which is why we're losing the entire auto building trade here with the demise of Holdens (GM), Ford and Toyota. They're all off to South Korea. But housing here is through the roof. An empty block of land here, $100,000.
